Boss Media's Gold Pirates Slots is yet another slot themed around the familiar "Treasure Island" theme, with treasure chests, swords and talking parrots represented in the pay table, and a pirate starring in it's bonus game. The "Treausure Island" theme (based on the book written by R.L. Stevenson) is very popular in the casino world. There's even a casino in Vegas actually called Treasure Island (owned by MGM Mirage).

Bonus game
The Pirate's map has three pieces, each corresponding with one of the three reels. If you receive a Map symbol on the payline of a particular reel, the corresponding piece on the Pirate's map is revealed. Once all three pieces are revealed the bonus game starts. If a Pirate symbol appears on the payline on a reel corresponding with a previously collected Map symbol, he'll steal the corresponding map piece and you'll have to collect it again.
During the bonus game a Pirate will appear who will dig up your bonus in the sand.
